Psychotherapy is a process that helps individuals to know themselves and improve their quality of life, also teaches them to look with greater understanding and clarity the difficulties they fase in order to find solutions. It may happen that they feel trapped in complex situations without knowing what to do, or carry old sufferings that are difficult to resolve, or feel alone and disoriented about their path, or even suffer discomforts that lead to physical illness. All these experiences, while challenging, are also an opportunity for personal growth, because they invite the implementation of changes to find well-being.

Difficult situations that occur in life can bring sufferings that are difficult to heal, which is why the person´s biography is addressed during psychotherapy. From childhood, experiences of all kinds occur, and some are painful or traumatic for life if they are not addressed. These emotional sufferings are wounds that hinder the development of various areas, such as interpersonal relationships, the achievement of goals, confidence and self-esteem, the relationship with one´s own body, to name a few. The work of psychotherapy is to help realice what problems are being carried, to understand how they were configured from their origin and thus know what needs to be implemented to heal. The wound is repaired, ceases to hurt, and becomes an opportunity for growth that allows the improvement of existence.
In this process, the persons gains self-awareness as they identify their problems and establish how they want to resolve each situation. They open themselves to listening to what makes sense in their heart. Thus, they determine their own criteria about what they want and how to achieve it, enabling them to make decisions about their life with greater confidence and coherence. This strengthens the connection with their emotions, becoming more assertive in recognizing any discomfort and in the actions they want to implement in this regard. In this way, they develop respect and appreciation for themselves at all times, giving space to their desires and needs.
